Howard Carter

Howard Carter is the son of an American professor and a Japanese cyborg woodsman. Since the two were unable to have children together, they instead built a robot son together. Using the cyborg's knowledge of mechanics and the professor's understanding of biology, they created Howard.

Since his father is a professor, Howard is very serious about studying. He is frequently seen carrying textbooks and will read them by candlelight (finding it much more calming than the new-fangled 19th century gas lanterns). Due to his Japanese parentage, he can also speak a bit of Japanese and has a slight accent. It's only noticeable when he says certain words.

Being such a skinny robot, Howard's clothes are very baggy and are constantly sliding around. He hates that. He doesn't wear more form-fitting clothes because he wants to feel like his body is denser than it actually is.

Though Howard is steam-powered, he also likes to drink coffee as well.
