The Textures I've Applied

Please note that, unless otherwise stated, I did none of the modeling for these projects.

Kitchen Project

March 2016

For this project, we had to texture a section of the kitchen from Ratatouille. I studied the properties for simple texturing to make everything look the best I could with my then-limited knowledge of how to texture. I was also the only student to actually give the window a glass texture instead of just removing it.

Random Objects Project

September 2016

This project required us to create two textures for each object. One had to be nice and clean, the other had to be filthy. Again, using my study of simple textures, I tried my best to give each object its own unique texture. Then I made that texture nice and dirty.

There are many aspects of this project I would change if I were to do it again, now that I have access to better texturing software.

Gas Station Project

November 2016

In this project, we were given a model of a gas station. We then had to give it a sci-fi texture. While most students went with a post-apocalyptic look, I thought it would be more fun to make an extraterrestrial gas station. Still worn down, it also includes features such as UV covers on the windows, oil barrels with alien language on them, a bright red light on the the pump, and a name referencing MST3K.

Smurf Project

December 2016

The final project of the class involved a Smurf village. We had to give realistic textures to these cartoony models.
